Role of Finance Department
Finance Department is the sanctioning, controlling and overall monitoring authority for matter relating to the state government guarantees. The proposals relating to guarantees are being routed from the Administrative Departments through Financial Advisor for undergoing a proper scrutiny and to obtain the opinion of Financial Advisor. After scrutinizing the proposal, the Finance Department considers the proposal if seen reasonable and viable.
Finance Department frames the policy relating to government guarantees and issues instructions relating to all aspects of guarantees from time to time. Whereas, administrative departments are required to follow such instructions / guidelines and report the latest status relating to all issues relating to the government guarantees as and when required by the Finance Department.
